W.I.S.H. Equestrian was formed to cultivate great horsemanship and help fulfill your equestrian dreams!

W.I.S.H. prides itself in providing a quality  recreational environment for both horse and rider while promoting excellence in horsemanship and conduct.

Dawn Bridges has over 30 years of equine experience and a passion for nurturing the relationship between rider and horse. Like thousands of other young girls, Dawn was born with a wish to spend her life following her heart to horses. Dawn began riding at a small farm in Rochester NY at the age of 8 and has continued her equine education and training through to this day. She was raised on the A circuit showing primarily hunter/jumpers with her primary focus on Equitation. Through the years Dawn’s passion and drive motivated her to learn from some of this countries top trainers. She has developed a systematic and individualized coaching style that brings out the best in all riders.

 

 

Dawn also has many years experience in training horses. Dawn has been fortunate enough to have worked with talented horses of many breeds but her focus has remained with the warm bloods, Quarter Horses, and OTTBs. She has retrained numerous Challenged and spooky horses that have moved on to successful show lives.  Because of her natural horsemanship approach Dawn is able to easily connect with the horse and bring it to the full potential by leading the horse to become a strong, supple, confident and willing mount.

 

 

Dawn Bridges was an active 4H leader for many years in Oswego County, NY. In 2014 she couched the Oswego County Quadrille Team to a Second place finish at the Great New York State Fair.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recently, Dawn followed her W.I.S.H. to leave the snowy winters of northern NY and embrace the Virginia Beach Horse lovers community. She has been blessed with the honor of meeting some amazing people and looks forward to setting roots and reaching out to everyone that shares her love of horses.
